Our Winglock 42 is normally used in conjunction with one of the other Boon Edam barrier products and has been specifically designed to complement our Trilock turnstiles. The Winglock 42 is perfectly designed to provide robust, cost-effective controlled passage for people in wheelchairs and deliveries of large or bulky items. This basic security product is suitable for most buildings and open-air locations, blending into most locations thanks to its neutral finish.

Working principle

The Winglock 42 is equipped with an electric lock, which unlocks upon receipt of a signal from an access control system. The manually operated Winglock 42 swings through 90 or 180 degrees, allowing easy one- or twodirectional traffic. The standard Winglock 42 is equipped with a self-closer and electric strike lock but a magnetic lock is an option if preferred. The Winglock 42 is fail-safe, disengaging the electrical lock on a power failure or fire alarm activation, if a fire alarm is connected.

Construction

The frame of the Winglock, consisting of a latching post, barrier and hinge-post, is constructed from 51 mm satin finished stainless steel tubing AISI 304. The door wing comprises three horizontal bars welded to two side sections. The centre of the door wing is filled with a polycarbonate glazing. The self-closer is a hydraulic shock absorber and is installed under floor level as standard to ensure self-centring, bidirectional operation. The hinge-post should always be connected to a railing or wall for additional stability.
